Our hotel is an ideal starting point for any outing you care to choose. A boat trip you will never forget, passing many delightful wine towns and vineyards, and the Lorelei rock. A wonderful walk along the hills above the Rhine, perhaps taking a picnic. Or a cycle tour using one, or more, of the four cycles available at the hotel.

If you bring your own cycles, they can be safely stored in our garage.

 We are delighted to help with tips and information for sightseeing in the area, or for visits to museums or castles.

The museum is the only castle from the middle-ages, that is still complete, and to be found on the hills overlooking the Middle Rhine. It is open daily for visitors.

You can reach the Marksburg by Braubach from Boppard–Hirzenach:
by boat from Boppard or Brey (leaving several times a day),
or by car using the car ferry in Boppard (23 km),
or by driving to Koblenz and crossing the Rhine by using the Südbrücke (South Bridge) 40 km.

The falconry on the Castle Maus gives a daily show, whereby you will see the King of the Air, the golden-eagle, sea-eagles, milanes, falcons and an eagle-owl in free flight.

You can reach the Castle Maus from Boppard-Hirzenach:
by walking to Bad Salzig (4 km), from there with a boat from the Loreley-Linie Weinand to Kestert and from there by walking to Wellmich and the Castle Maus or by using the car ferry in St.Goar (11 km).
